About Nan Watts

Nan Watts is an accredited coach who has her own practice and is also and independent contractor with Coach in a Box. Since 2006, she has built a diverse, international practice and has been working with corporate executives, managers, not-for-profit leaders, educators, and entrepreneurs – all from a wide variety of backgrounds – who seek to make meaningful changes in their personal and or professional lives.

Nan’s background is in organizational development and has experience as a corporate recruiter. She believes that a successful coaching relationship can be a gateway to uncovering core values and a better understanding of what drives our beliefs and behaviors. Nan’s keen insight, compassion, wisdom, and sense of humor, encourages her clients to “dig a little deeper.” Her expressive and connected style of communication helps guide her clients down a path towards a deeper and more expansive personal awareness.   Clients include Unilever, Yum Brands, NBCUniversal. She has also worked with clients from Baxter, Kraft Foods, Prudential Properties and University of Chicago.

As an entrepreneur and successful small business owner for over 25 years, Nan has built two successful businesses and understands the mindset (and challenges) that entrepreneurs and business leaders face on a daily basis. In addition to her work with her private clients and her work with Coach In A Box, Nan leads workshops, professional and personal development groups, youth leadership programs, and hosts an online community forums – all designed to facilitate more effective leadership, self-awareness and personal initiative.

Nan is drawn towards conversations that address the human side of business. She has been a guest speaker at various local and civic organizations, including Kendall College in Chicago. She has also been a guest on “Personal Best” a radio show on WIND/560 AM in Chicago, “Work That Matters” podcast with Shawn Murphy and also talked with Mark Babbitt and an audience of “Millennials” on InternProRadio. Her training includes coaching and leadership programs with The Coaches Training Institute and The Center for Right Relationships, and Coach In A Box.
